Mark Housel is a proud dad, husband, and business owner who enjoys coaching soccer, exercising, reading, and spending quality time with his family. He is a passionate educator, author, speaker, and lifelong learner with over 28 years of teaching experience in New Jersey.
He currently serves as an adjunct professor at Monmouth University and is a nationally recognized keynote presenter and workshop leader. Mark was honored as the 2020 New Jersey Elementary Teacher of the Year and the 2023 SHAPE America Eastern District Teacher of the Year. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education and a Master's degree in Education.
In addition to his work in schools, Mark is the author of What Kind of Teacher Do You Want to Be?, a book that inspires educators to reflect, reset, and reconnect with their purpose. He’s also the author of two children’s books, Monster Game and Snails, Quails, and Animal Tales.
